Hola! Soy de Argentina, y navegando por GoodReads he encontrado autores y libros que parecen muy buenos y que quiero leer con muchísimas ganas. Pero, tristemente, no los he podido encontrar en Argentina, simplemente porque no han sido traducidos al español. Y si lo están, tampoco pueden conseguirse porque no se editan acá. Y no lo sé, quizá esto llegue a algún lado. ¿Qué opinan?

Un saludo a toda la gente de Argentina. Me parece muy bien este tipo de iniciativas y te recomiendo que le des mayor apertura, como en blogs, redes sociales populares, entre otros. Si tienes blog, publica estos artículos al respecto. Soy de Venezuela y en mi país la cultura y la lectura prácticamente son NULAS. Aparte de eso, sólo se consiguen algunos libros relativamente recientes y extremadamente caros. Para que te hagas una idea: Yo quería leer El Señor de los Anillos desde el año 1994 (cuando supe que existía algo así) y no fue sino hasta el 2001, con el estreno de las películas, que pude conseguir una edición de bolsillo que editaron a propósito del estreno de la 1era parte. Y sobre los precios mira esto acá:

COSMOS es un libro que yo quisiera tener en físico (tengo la versión digital), pero con ese precio me es casi imposible. Se que puedes no tener idea de nuestra moneda, pero te lo explico de esta forma: Yo gano, en un mes, 5300 Bs. Si quisiera comprar ese libro, tendría que gastar casi todo lo que gano y lo que sobra (unos 950), no alcanzan ni para un mercado semanal.
Otra cosa que podría recomendarte grandemente, que me ha servido a mi, es la compra / uso de un lector digital, como el Kindle de Amazon. Yo lo compré hace 2 años y estoy muy contento con él. He leído una gran cantidad de libros y las versiones digitales se consiguen a un precio mucho menor. Incluso hay toneladas de libros clásicos totalmente gratuitos. Por lo que me costó el kindle en aquel entonces, sólo hubiera podido comprar los 4 libros que me faltaban de Canción de Hielo y Fuego. En el kindle los tengo todos, puedo conseguir las precuelas y muchos más que siempre quise leer, pero que nunca creí que tendría la oportunidad de hacerlo. Espero que te sirva este comentario.

No parece muy caro, pero igual, depende de la moneda de cada país. Yo compré el mío a $22 dólares y pico, y fueron como $200 pesos y algo, argentinos.
